Il concerto a sostegno delle attività di CasaOz con il pianista siriano Aeham Ahmad, il “pianista di Yarmuk” è stato un successo, di pubblico, con il sold out dei biglietti, e di emozioni, che hanno animato per una serata il Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi.
Aeham Ahmad ha raccontato la sua storia, dal lavoro nel negozio di strumenti musicali del padre, all’assedio delle truppe di Assad con i bombardamenti, la paura e la fame, fino al giorno in cui il pianoforte che portava in strada per tenere accesa la fiammella della speranza e della pace è stato bruciato dai miliziani dell’Isis. Le sue parole, forti e coraggiose, dirette e cariche di senso, hanno riempito l’aria del Conservatorio, chiamando numerosi gli applausi dei presenti, commossi e partecipi.
E’ poi stato il momento della musica che ci ha regalato: un fiume di note che ha trasportato a Torino le tonalità e i timbri della musica araba, insieme al coraggio e alla speranza di cui tutti abbiamo sempre bisogno. In più di un’occasione Aeham ha incitato il pubblico a cantare e la magia della musica si è avverata: il pubblico torinese ha cantato, commosso, in arabo, e ha chiuso il concerto con scrosci di applausi.
CasaOz ha potuto accogliere una storia che si è fatta parte delle sue mille storie, tutte impastate di coraggio, forza, resilienza, desiderio di farcela e ricominciare. I nostri grazie quindi sono molteplici. Aeham si è fatto portatore del nostro messaggio e ci ha permesso di parlare ad un pubblico numeroso e sensibile. Le aziende, soprattutto Reda in quanto sponsor, ancora una volta ci sono state accanto. Il regista Alessandro Avataneo e l’interprete Paolo Maria Noseda, amici da tempo di CasaOz, hanno regalato il loro tempo. Le istituzioni cittadine hanno partecipato, confermando che la Città ascolta i cittadini e raccoglie i loro messaggi.
Il ricavato del concerto aiuterà CasaOz a continuare a garantire i suoi servizi di accoglienza e sostegno per un quotidianità che cura a tanti bambini ed alle loro famiglie.
